4x7 Vintage Turkmen Rug: Hand-Knotted Wool Turkish Rug

These carpets are hand-knotted, mainly in Turkmenistan, but also in neighbouring areas. They are made from high-quality wool, and there may be silk in the pile. The patterns are repetative with lake and often wide borders on the shorter sides, but not on the long-sides. Red, the whole scale from violet to brown, are the dominating colour. The carpet is an excellent piece of craftmanship.
